For those who are interested in grunge I would recommend: Pixies, Soundgraden, TheSmashingPumpkins, Radiohead, Beck, PearlJam, AliceInChains, L7, Silverchair, Audioslave, Garbage, SonicYouth, SkinYard.

Of course there is much more, but these are my personal favorite.

Sounds like 1990s Teen Spirit alright. I'm just going to suggest Rollins Band, mostly because I never hear anyone mention them and they're pretty solid.

I haven't been listening to a lot of music lately, but I just discovered Wall of Voodoo, and their first two albums are really impressive. Catchy and compelling, even as they stretch what music is in that Lydia Lunch, music from Mars way.
