Upcoming Changes for Pidgin Users

Pidgin version 2.14.1 will be the last version of Pidgin to include the integrated AIM module.

This does not mean that connecting with Phoenix will be impossible, rather that in the future, Phoenix will be an external module like Skype, Discord, MatterMost, F-Chat, and Facebook are.

The group of Linux Developers already have an Escargot module working.

In the long run this may mean that Pidgin actually gets better support for Phoenix. The AIM Module hasn't been developed on in years as there was no reason to continue supporting it since AIM was shut down in December of 2017.

Few things:

This external module will follow its own development path as an external module. Independent of the rest of Pidgin.

It will not use the AIM logo, but rather a Phoenix Logo.

Naturally I will assist in any way I can to improve the functionality of the plugin.

There are many URLs Embedded withinb the plugins that need to be changed. For Escargot, Escargot documents all these changes. Can we get a list of URLs for Yahoo and AIM that need changing?
