this might help (I'm on winXP running 5.9);

#if you are at the logon screen, please do the following:

-click the button labeled "setup" at the bottom-left of the window
-once you're there, look at the side menu and click "sign on/off"
-if you are not using a modem or dial-up, check to make sure that "internet connection" is set to "local area network [LAN]".
-after that, click on the button that says "Connection" in the bottom-right corner
-when the window opens, make sure that the "proxy" box is unchecked. you will now see 2 boxes that are fillable within the server section of the window.
-in the "Host" box, type: iwarg.ddns.net
-in the "port" box, type: 5190
------------------------------------------------------------
#if you are in the AIM window (already logged in), please do the following:

-press F3 to open preferences

if this does not work then:
-go to the "My AIM" tab at the top-left corner
-hover over "edit options" and click "edit preferences"
-once you're there, look at the side menu and click "sign on/off"
-if you are not using a modem or dial-up, check to make sure that "internet connection" is set to "local area network [LAN]".
-after that, click on the button that says "Connection" in the bottom-right corner
-when the window opens, make sure that the "proxy" box is unchecked. you will now see 2 boxes that are fillable within the server section of the window.
-in the "Host" box, type: iwarg.ddns.net
-in the "port" box, type: 5190

Hope this solved your issue! good luck and have a wonderful day!
