I think Iwarg should revive American online or at least work with Aolemu which I'd recommend you use https://aolemu.com/try however I have only one problem with this program and it is that I can't use it for 32 bit systems. Is there some way I could use Aolemu for my Windows xp desktop pc?

AOLEmu is just a wrapper client written in C# I could write something like that in a weekend, simple project using browser containers etc.
