it's probably a trivial matter to get some versions of the ICQ client to connect directly to the phoenix server since it uses virtually the same OSCAR protocol, I haven't invested time into looking at what kind of changes are needed to the authentication and versioning / capabilities classes for them to play seamlessly together.
