someone is doing something that crashes the server in a way I haven't seen before. The automatic restart monitor does its job but the restarted server doesn't accept connections for some reason.

I'm feeling that's it's when someone tries to connect AIM Pheonix with QIP 2005, i tried to connect QIP 2005 to AIM Pheonix as i was curious after discovering it due to veselcraft's screenshot on messengergeek, both of those attempts apparantly caused the server to crash.

TL:DR Don't use QIP 2005 on Phoenix.

That hasn't been confirmed yet. Try waiting for an official response first maybe?

But I wouldn't expect a mere incompatible client to cause the listener of the automatic restarted server to not accept connections, the problem seems to have stopped for now, whatever it was.
