AOL 5.0 Not Logging in?

I was trying to log in to AIM using 5.0 (Specifically the Installer Version) and it won't connect. Specifically it is stuck on the first step. Is this just the servers being down or is it something on my end? My Friend is experiencing the same thing. (We both use the iwarg host)
