hmm I can't think of or see any way that a bunch of contacts could simply vanish from the database

Now I have lost all of my contacts and I get an error msg saying
"Your buddy list and buddy icon are not available currently, but they have not been lost.
please try again later."

I am on 5.1 and using dead aim if that helps

I have the same error on 5.0 not using dead aim so i can only assume it is something on admins end. Also OP how did you get 5.1 running? When i try to install and run 5.1 it hangs the entire system requiring a reboot.
