AIM 5.9 not launching

Basically after I installed AIM 5.9 every time i try to launch it nothing happens, all it does is run in the background (I used task manager) so is there any way to fix this?

If you are using Windows 10, try using an earlier version of AIM. There are known Windows 10 compatibility problems with AIM 5.1 thru 5.9.

AIM 5.9.3861 works fine for me on Windows 10. Try running in Compatibility mode (Windows XP (Service pack 3). Also run as Administrator as well.

I can't uninstall 5.9 it keeps on saying that it is running in the background and it doesn't appear in task manager. I even tried to delete the folder I installed it in. I tried to uninstall from Control Panel but the uninstall file doesn't respond even in compatibility mode.

I tried that but still seems it doesn't work.
