Aim 4.8 Issues(using it because of deadAIM)

Aim 4.8 does not accept underscores for usernames compared to aim 5.x Will this be fixed in deadAIM or will deadAIM be updated to later versions?

DeadAIM is err.. yeah dead.. the rights to that program were sold to AOL in 2003.
