I can't connect to AIM

I'm trying to connect to AIM using ver. 5.0, but I can't seem to.

What does it say when you try to connect?

"The AIM (R) service can't be reached."

unless you are living in 1995 I dont know why anyone would have "modem" selected as the connection type.
