AIM won't load up at all.

When I try to open AIM, it freezes up. And, for some reason, after I use the AIM Tamer and open it up again, it still doesn't work. I have Windows 8.1 and I'm using Version 5.1. I really don't know what's wrong, but yeah if anyone could help, that'd be great!

Try running it in Windows XP compatibility mode.

I don't know how to do that, and I don't know if my computer can.

I did as it said, and it didn't work. I used the AIM Tamer, too, but for some reason, it doesn't work... I did Windows XP Service Pack 2, and there's a 3, is there a difference?

Service Pack 3 just made XP more secure, so technically, yes.

I've never tested support for Windows 8.1 with AIM, because I run Windows 7, which lets AIM run like a charm.

I just changed it to XP Service Pack 3, and it didn't work. I used AIM Tamer like you're supposed to, use it then open AIM again, but it didn't work after I opened AIM again. I don't know what's going on, but there's Windows 93 and stuff, should I try that?

Did you try to just install Pidgin and use that?
