AIM 5.1 Won't Connect!

Sup all! Followed the instructions here, and AIM 5.1 won't get past the connection phase. Wondering whats going on? I'm currently running Windows 10, if that helps at all. Thanks!

Edit: I should have clarified, by connection, I mean when you click 'sign on' and its on: Step 1: Connecting...

Wasn't much of a 'fix' on my end :D. The WiFi I was using at the time wouldn't let me connect to the server.
