AIM 5.1 won't install in Windows 8.1 Pro

I've tried plenty of compatibility settings in Windows 8.1 Pro (64-bit) and I can't seem to install AIM 5.1. I can install 5.9, Lite, and Pro just fine, though, for some reason. Could anyone help me install this older version? Thanks.

perhaps it doesn't like the old 16-bit installer.. maybe the client itself run

Try using the No-install Zip version, if not then try using compatibility settings (set to Windows XP Service Pack 3?) and run as administrator. Remember to use AIM Tamer in case.
