Trying to use 5.9 but it won't open.

Well actually it does open but runs in the background and nothing more. Another thing is that the uninstaller just freezes.

revo uninstaller can clean it out.. try an earlier build like 5.1 or older, before they filled it with a bunch of MSIE activex plugin crap.
