don't mind me, just replying from my manjaro linux desktop, pay no mind to my deeply rooted hatred of microsoft and their crummy operating systems..

pidgin was rather flaky with their direct connection and group chat implementations as is even with the official AIM servers, I recall trying to do that on several occasions and never being able to get it to work.

Oh I thought when you said Manjaro you were talking about OS X or something lol

Also you use Visual Studio so I assumed you used Windows in some capacity.

In as short of capacity as possible. with an early of a version as possible. and absolutely never 8 / 8.1 or 10, I'll start programming exclusively in java or something before I install that malware. It looks like VS2010 is pretty close to being usable with WINE too.

As you have seen from some of my other posts, thats part of it. But there is something of larger scale here.

Pidgin is part of an Infrastructure and exists as much as a server, than as a client. Pidgin's Purple modules are used to provide XMPP support to my mobile devices. Not only for Phoenix AIM, but Skype, Discord, Lync, as well.

Thats why I can already use Phoenix on Android.

In addition, due to the XMPP nature of my infrastructure, Images sent over AIM, or other networks get sent to my Next Cloud.

Problems solved on Phoenix here, will translate to problems being solved for me on other networks, and bugs being discovered in my family of Domain Controllers that would not have been detected if not for Phoenix.

In addition, it becomes and opportunity to forge new relationships with people, and make friends I would never have otherwise met.
