Buddy list issue

Ok this is a weird issue, and i dont know if it is
a problem with the server or something with my pc.
But im sure im not the only one experiencing it.

Im using win7 starter, with aim 5.9 installed.
i tried most of the releases provided on this website,
but had similar or same problems.

If i try to add a saved buddylist with a lot of names,
sometimes ill get a message like this.
"dont worry,your icon and list was saved but is not available right now."

or when i add a buddylist, or add multiple buddies,
like 5 at a time, aim crashes.

or sometimes aim will accept the added list or buddies,
but when i close and restart they are all gone.

sometimes im lucky and a few will stay but not all.

so far it seems to have happened with all the aim
versions i tried, so its not just 1 version.

leading me to think its either the server or my pc.

any ideas ?

I don't think I have ever tested loading contacts from a file.

@iWarg
I know in the days of the original aim server,
we would see the same kind of message letting us know
the buddy list wasnt lost, was unavailable at the time.
and that part i think was the aim server.

i did manage to get a few buddies added but i cant
load a previously saved buddylist and have it stick.
it would disappear when i restart aim.
if you want to pm me its zshawnp.

@iWarg
For the record, im trying windows xp in virtualbox.
and so far i tried 3 different versions but getting same problem with losing buddylist when i reboot aim.
so its not centralized to just windows 7. (its xp to)

your feedbag structure is full of a bunch of really strange data, I have no clue how or why, there are a bunch of entries that make no sense, a few group entries with null names, and a few dozen of contact class entries with null names. it might be best if I clear all the feedbag entries for your UID and let the server build a new template.

@iWarg
sounds good if you wouldn't mind please.
i have 2 screen names with similar problems.
buddyscanner and zhawnp if you could do that for both id
appreciate it a lot, saves having to make new names.
i backed up the names i had so so if it deletes any
thats fine too.

try logging in as ZShawnP to see if a new groups list is generated.

Yes zshawnp was reset to the normal buddy list you'd see when you 1st install aim. thank you.

if you would do the same with buddyscanner id appreciate it.

also note as i mentioned in another thread,
buddyscanner will not log off it still appears online today.
when I did not turn it on or sign into it yet.
i tried logging in and back out yesterday, but no change.
